Self-pick salad

At Shire Farms before the blueberries start we have annual veggies and other perennials in full swing.

Blueberries are in flower and the strawberries, cherries and raspberries are setting fruit.

Come visit us and pick your own salad amd flowers from the field. We should have garlic next month as well.

When you get home, soak your salad in cold salty water for 15 minutes before storing in the refrigerator, as always, you're welcome to eat the greens directly from the field but soaking the heat off tends to lead to a better texture and longer shelf life.
